What is Podcasting ?
A podcast is a digital media file, or a related collection of such files, which is distributed over the Net using syndication feeds for playback on a Media player, stereo, ipod etc. The term, like the word "radio", can refer either to the content itself or to the method by which it is syndicated; the latter is also termed ''podcasting''.

A very popular podcasting program that is free to download and use is Audacity. The following video shows you step by step how to download the program and start using it.
Steve McVey (staff member of MSC 2001 - 2007) made an excellent screencast that shows in detail how to complete a podcast, change segments round and/or cut segments out and put some music in as a background. He has given permission for its inclusion for use by all staff.
